Seriously?
He is literally only famous for one line
But it was an iconic line
He had to go, so Holdo could take command. It made sense.
And the problem with the “Ackbar could have replaced Holdo in the Poe storyline” argument.
You’d have just kept waiting for him to say THAT again.
It would have ruined any sense of drama.
